ΔΕΛΤΙΟ ΤΥΠΟΥ
Στις 14 & 15 Μαΐου 2026, με την ευκαιρία της Παγκόσμιας Ημέρας των Τηλεπικοινωνιών & Κοινωνίας της Πληροφορίας (17/05/2026), πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Συνεδριακό και Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών με μεγάλη επιτυχία το 64th FITCE Congress (Πανευρωπαϊκό Συνέδριο), με θέμα «Assessing the Prospects of Intelligence–Driven Networks and Applications in Europe».
Το Πανευρωπαϊκό Συνέδριο συνδιοργανώθηκε από το Ελληνικό Τμήμα της FITCE (Ομοσπονδία Τηλεπικοινωνιακών Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Πληροφορικής της Ευρώπης) και το Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών, με Χορηγούς της εκδήλωσης την Cosmote Telekom, την εταιρία Dura-line και το Τεχνικό Επιμελητήριο Δυτικής Ελλάδας.
Σημαντικός αριθμός μηχανικών και επιστημόνων από τους χώρους των τηλεπικοινωνιών και της πληροφορικής είχαν την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσουν ενδιαφέρουσες εισηγήσεις, τόσο από καθηγητές πανεπιστημίου όσο και από εκπροσώπους φορέων δημοσίου & ιδιωτικού τομέα καθώς και εταιριών που δραστηριοποιούνται στους τομείς των Τεχνολογιών Πληροφορικής & Επικοινωνιών (ΤΠΕ).
Η μαζική συμμετοχή των επιστημόνων στο Συνέδριο συνηγορεί στο γεγονός, ότι υπάρχει έντονο ενδιαφέρον για τις εξελίξεις και για τα θέματα αιχμής στο χώρο των ΤΠΕ τόσο σε εμπορικό όσο και σε τεχνολογικό επίπεδο. Οι εργασίες του Συνεδρίου ανέδειξαν τα σημαντικά θέματα, όπως τα σύγχρονα οπτικά & ασύρματα τηλεπικοινωνιακά συστήματα, την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη (ΑΙ) και τα έξυπνα δίκτυα, συνέβαλαν στην ενημέρωση και βοήθησαν στην επικοινωνία μεταξύ των στελεχών του χώρου.
Το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο του Ελληνικού Τμήματος της FITCE αισθάνεται την ανάγκη να ευχαριστήσει όλους τους συμμετέχοντες και τους υποστηρικτές του Συνεδρίου, ιδιαιτέρως την Cosmote Telekom, την εταιρία Dura-line, το Τεχνικό Επιμελητήριο Δυτικής Ελλάδας και το Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών, οι οποίοι συνέβαλαν αποφασιστικά στην πραγματοποίηση και την επιτυχία του.

On 14–15 May 2026, on the occasion of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (17 May 2026), the 64th FITCE Congress (Pan-European Congress), entitled “Assessing the Prospects of Intelligence-Driven Networks and Applications in Europe”, was successfully held at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras.
The Pan-European Congress was co-organized by the Greek Branch of FITCE and the University of Patras, with the support of the event sponsors Cosmote Telekom, Dura-Line, and the Technical Chamber of Western Greece.
A significant number of engineers and scientists from the fields of telecommunications and information technology had the opportunity to attend highly engaging presentations delivered by university professors, as well as representatives of public and private sector organizations and companies operating in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
The strong participation of the scientific community in the Congress demonstrates the considerable interest in current developments and cutting-edge issues in the ICT sector, both from a commercial and technological perspective. The proceedings of the Congress highlighted important topics such as modern optical and wireless telecommunication systems, artificial intelligence (AI), and intelligent networks, while also contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and fostering communication among professionals in the sector.
